Fare increase from 8th January 2018

Posted on January 3, 2018

Due to increasing cost pressures on us, we are having to put fares up from 8th January 2018. This is the first time that fares on most of our services have increased for three years – as we have tried to keep them stable.

However, fuel prices, rates, competition on more of our services and the need to replace some of our fleet has meant that we are reluctantly having to raise fares. We are still the best value buses in Harrogate – our X1 still gives the best value travel between Harrogate and Knaresborough.

In York – our 13 fares have risen, but most are still lower than the equivalent fare on First. Some have reduced to match those charged by First on common stretches (where theirs reduced earlier last year). This is the first increase since we started operating the 13. We are still the best value bus from Haxby and New Earswick to York

In Leeds – the 38 remains the same, but the 8 increases – the first time since we took the service over 4 years ago. There are also now 10 journey tickets on both of these services.

Our School service fares have not increased (apart from 727H at the request of NYCC).

We hope that you understand and thank you for travelling with us
